Vrijdag 14 oktober in't Hof ter Lo:
- vanaf 19u30: dansinitiatie met de Boombal-goeroe's
- zaal-optreden van Kadril
- zaal-optreden van Aedo
- tussendoor: foyer-optreden van Frozen Fish in (2x)tweevoud (qua locatie de plek waar de drankjenz zijn)
- afterparty met DJs Jåk en Klesie: Dranouteriaans feestgedruis

Sligo musicians visit Antwerp: free concert |

On august 2 we will play a double concert with the Irish friends of Tireile (Sligo) in folkpub Espiral. Rodney Lancashire and Steffi Geremia, who contributed to mini-cd six-pack will be present, together with fiddler Joe Grady.

Frozen Fish in winterslaap |

Na een stevige zomer tijd voor een korte break: Frozen Fish gaat tijdens
de winter de diepvries in. De dikke ijslaag over't water zorgt voor afdoende bescherming om ongestoord
met nieuw materiaal bezig te zijn, nieuwe wegen in te slaan en met frisse
schwung de volgende zomer in te gaan.
Vanaf april worden de vissen terug vrijgelaten en dat voor een lange
zomer. Frozen Fish boeken voor die zomer kan intussen al!
Intussen wel ne welgemeende finshake aan al wie het voorbije visjaar zo fantastisch gemaakt heeft: de Jan en de bende van den espiral. Radio 1 en de grote boodschap, die ons een flinke duw in de rug gegeven hebben. Een hoop organisatoren die ondanks de soms hopeloze weersomstandigheden festiviteiten blijven organiseren waar bands als Frozen Fish goed weer kunnen proberen maken. Vrienden, familie, aanhang en publiek: 't was ne zalige zomer en we zijn er volgende zomer weer, met nieuw kruit. |

Frozen Fish will be in Ireland (around Sligo) from august 18 - 27, to present the new mini-cd "6-pack", on which a number of Sligo musicians contributed. Check out the other sections of the site for cd and gig-details! |

Het lanceerweekend zit erop. Merciekes aan al wie er bij was of een cd-ke kocht. Beeld en geluid van het lanceerweekend kan je binnenkort verwachten op de site... Sommige die-hards kwamen zelfs twee of drie keer af, dankoewel!
Voor ons was het een feest (eindelijk terug spelen!), en we houden het daar niet bij.
Er komen in elk geval nog optredens aan in België en in Ierland. Wat al vastligt
vind je op de gig-pagina. Wie 't nog niet deed kan altijd inschrijven op de Mailing lijst. En je gedachten kan je kwijt in het Fishbook.
Hopelijk tot weldra.

Frozen Fish in radio 1 programma "De groote boodschap" |

De nieuwe Frozen Fish mini-cd "6-pack" wordt donderdagavond met een live-interview voorgesteld in het radio 1 programma "De groote boodschap". In het programma zullen ook enkele nummers van "6-pack" te horen zijn.

De Frozen Fish mini-CD 6-pack zal worden voorgesteld en verspreid tijdens het 'Feest van de Folk' in 4 Antwerpse café's. De flyer vind je op de Frozen Fish homepage. Tijdens dat weekend kan je het schijfje aanschaffen op de 4 locaties van de voorstelling, en daarna ondermeer via deze website. |

The Frozen Fish EP "6-pack" has now gone in press. Details regarding the official release will be announced in the course of next weeks. Scheduled release: weekend of april 23-25, 2004, during Flanders "Feest van de Folk". |

New CD: mixed and mastered |

As you can read elsewhere on this site, Frozen Fish will release a new CD very soon.
It contains 6 songs, written by Frozen Fish. Besides Belgian Frozen Fish some of the finest Irish musicians participate on this cross-project: Rodney Lancashire (Tireile, Mactire) played mandolin and mandola and was responsible for the Irish co-production. Steffi Geremia (Tireile, Mactire) playes flutes, bodhrán, shakers and delivers additional vocals. Eamonn Costello (Mactire) plays the "box" (accordeon) on one of the songs. Cathy Jordan (Dervish) provided bodhrán and bones for two songs.
All recordings were made in summer 2003 in Belgium and Ireland. The exciting result could reach your ears within a couple of weeks... |

A new CD - a new site. The Frozen Fish website currently receives a major update. Most of the old features will be included in the new design. Main objectives are simple navigation and faster updates. The new design may be further adjusted the next few weeks. In the meanwhile, it is possible that you encounter some errors. You are free to inform us (administrator@frozenfish.be) if you experience any difficulties. We hope that everything runs smoothly as soon as the new CD is launched. |
